An account is for subs and primes — it is what a subscription attaches to, and how you search crews. Techs never need one. Looking at work and putting yourself on the roster are free without an account, and always will be.
Sign-in is not live yet. Codes are sent by text and the text service is not connected, so the code will not reach you. Nothing here is broken — there is simply nothing sending yet.
