Cable Crews is a job board for broadband construction work, operated by Fiber Optic Services 4U LLC. Using it means agreeing to what follows.
A place to post contract work and to be found for it. Every listing has to carry a rate, a per diem figure, pay terms, dates and headcount before it can go live — that rule is the whole product.
We are not a party to any job. We do not employ anyone, do not place anyone, do not take a cut of a contract, and never will. The agreement is between the person hiring and the person working.
We do not vet anyone. A listing says what its poster typed. A roster profile says what its owner typed. We check that a phone number is real by texting it a code; we do not check whether a company pays on time, holds insurance, or is who it says it is. Do your own checking before you mobilise.
Nothing on this site is legal, tax, insurance or safety advice. The reference pages on dig law and OSHA rules are our reading of the primary sources, cited so you can check them, and they can be out of date — the statute is the authority, not us.
Post work you are actually hiring for, with figures you mean. Do not post someone else’s listing, a job that does not exist, or a number you have no intention of paying. Do not post anything unlawful, and do not use the board to recruit for anything other than work.
You keep whatever rights you have in what you post. By posting it you let us show it on the board, include it in search, and send it to people whose saved alerts match it.
We can take a listing down. If we do, the reason is recorded and shown to you on your own manage page. Anything queued to be texted about that listing is stopped.
A tech’s number is released one profile at a time, to someone who has posted a real job, and every release is recorded. Use it to talk to that person about work. Do not add it to a list, sell it, pass it on, or send bulk messages to it. Doing so ends your access, and it is the fastest way to lose this board the people who make it worth anything.
A subscription is billed monthly in advance through Stripe, and renews automatically until you cancel. Card details are entered on Stripe’s own pages and never reach this site.
Cancel any time, from the Manage billing link on your account page — no email, no phone call, no retention script. Cancelling stops the next charge.
A month you have paid for is a month you keep. Access runs to the end of the period you have already paid for rather than stopping the moment you cancel.
We do not automatically refund part-months, because you keep the access instead. If something went wrong — you were charged twice, or charged after cancelling, or the site was not usable — email privacy@cablecrews.com and we will sort it out. We would rather refund you than argue.
If a payment fails, Stripe retries it over several days. Access continues through that and ends at the end of the paid period if it is never settled.
We only text a number that has confirmed itself with a six-digit code, and we send exactly three kinds of message:
Plus a one-time code when you sign in. Nothing else, and never an advertisement. Message frequency varies and depends on how much work matches your search; alerts are capped at four a day. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to any message to stop them. Reply HELP for help, or email privacy@cablecrews.com. Alert messages also carry a one-tap unsubscribe link.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Nothing is sent outside roughly 8am to 9pm. See Privacy for what we do with your number — short version: it is never shown on a listing and never sold.
You can stop using the site whenever you like and ask us to delete your account, your roster profile or your saved searches. We can close an account that is being used to harvest contact details, post work that does not exist, or break these terms.
The site is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available without interruption, that a listing is accurate, or that you will find work or find anyone to do it.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for what happens between you and somebody you met here — unpaid invoices, a job that turned out differently, or a crew that did not show. If we are found liable for something anyway, the most we owe is what you have paid us in the previous twelve months.
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. These terms are governed by the law of the State of Florida, where Fiber Optic Services 4U LLC is registered.
