Cable Crews is a job board for broadband construction work, operated by Fiber Optic Services 4U LLC. This page says what it collects, what it does not, and how to get rid of it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
You can browse every listing, search, filter, sort and open any job without an account, without giving a phone number, and without being counted. There is no analytics on this site — no Google Analytics, no ad pixel, no session recorder, no third-party script of any kind. Nothing about your visit is sent anywhere.
Fonts are served from this domain rather than from Google, so loading a page does not tell anyone else you were here.
Posting a job. The job itself — company, prime contractor, states, rate, per diem, pay terms, dates, headcount, scope — and a contact name with a phone number or email. Those contact details are published on the listing, because the point of a listing is that someone can reach you. Optionally your own mobile, which is never published: it exists so you can pull up everything you have posted, and so we can text you once before a listing comes off the board.
Turning on alerts. Your mobile number and the search you saved. We text you when matching work posts, and at most once a month if the search has gone quiet.
Putting yourself on the roster. Your name or crew name, home state and metro, the work you do, the states you will travel to, years in the trade, any credentials you hold, and a written summary. Your phone number is not shown on your profile.
A hiring account. Your mobile number, your company, and your name. If you subscribe, an identifier for your Stripe customer record — never a card number.
Text messages. The messages we send you and whether they were delivered, kept as a record of what was actually sent.
This trade runs on phone numbers, so they get the most care.
A tech’s number on the roster is released one profile at a time, only to someone who has actually posted a real job, capped per day, and every release is recorded — which company took it, which profile, and when. There is no bulk export, no download, and no endpoint that returns a list of numbers. That is a deliberate design decision and not something that will be loosened for a paying customer.
We do not sell contact details, rent them, or hand them to a data broker. There is no advertising on this site.
We only text a number that has confirmed itself with a code. There are exactly three kinds of message:
Nothing else, and never an advertisement. Reply STOP to any message to end them, or use the link in the text. Nothing is sent outside roughly 8am to 9pm. Message and data rates may apply.
There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to. We set one cookie, and only after you sign in to a hiring account: a random session token so the site knows it is still you. It holds no personal data, and the copy we keep is hashed.
Your theme choice and an unfinished job post are kept in your own browser’s local storage. Those never leave your device and we cannot read them.

Listings come off the board on their own and stay in the database as a record of what was posted. Sent messages are kept so there is an honest account of what went out. Contact releases are kept, because a tech is entitled to know who was given their number.
Ask and we will delete your roster profile, your saved searches, or your account. A published listing can be taken down from its own manage link at any time.

If this changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes to what we collect or who we send it to will be said plainly rather than slipped in.
