Two to ten working days. A working day runs 12:01 a.m. to midnight, excludes weekends and state or federal holidays, and excludes the day you made the locate request.
Tolerance zone
24" each side, at least 48" total
A strip at least four feet wide, and no wider than the facility plus two feet each side. On a drop cable the four-foot floor is the one that binds, not the 24 inches.
Worth knowing in Kentucky
Kentucky defines two different things and they get confused constantly: 'approximate location' at §367.4903(11) is the facility width plus 24 inches each side, while the 'tolerance zone' at (25) has a four-foot floor. The zone you hand-dig is the second one.
